Bayer Honors Top 12 Suppliers

PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 9, 2006--Bayer Corporation (NYSE:BAY) today honored its top 12 North American suppliers with the corporation's Look of a Leader Award for 2005 performance.

The winners, selected annually, were chosen from among thousands of suppliers that provide Bayer with more than $5 billion in raw materials, services and supplies for Bayer MaterialScience, Bayer HealthCare, Bayer CropScience and Bayer Corporate & Business Services operations.

Honored were Advantage Health Care Packaging Ltd. of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; Baytown Ace Machine, Ltd., of Baytown, Texas; Carrier Corporation of Houston, Texas; Clean Harbors Environmental Services, Inc., of Braintree, Mass.; Convergys of Cincinnati, Ohio; Fersinsa Gb, SA de CV of Coahuila, Mexico; GE Corporate Payment Services of Salt Lake City, Utah; Hexion Specialty Chemicals of Baton Rouge, La.; Slay Transportation Company, Inc., of St. Louis, Mo.; Sunjut Corporation of Batavia, Ill.; Vitusa Products, Inc., of Berkeley Heights, N.J.; and Wesco Distribution, Inc., of Pittsburgh, Pa.
